I am reading Eragon by Christopher Paolini based on the movie Eragon. I just started reading this book a few days ago and I've liked it ever since. It's about a boy named Eragon who in the mountains found a gray-blue opaque stone and when he arrived home a fierce blizzard which traveled from the mountains to the valleys which was where Eragon and his family lived.

i am reading ginger pye it is about a dog who got stole by a person in there town.ginger (the pup)was smart every knows him but on thanksgiving day he was stolen the owner thoutht that a boy wanted the dog but jerry (owner) got him frist but he was wereing
a yellow cape and hat so no one knows who is he.
At home i am reading a book called famous five its about thease cousins, and one of them have a island and they island has gold in it, and the cousins r trying to fine the gold but someone else is,too. But who will get to the gole first??
I am reading Narnia by C.S. Lewis based on the movie. I just started it and it is very good, it is about four children who go to a magic land and find themselves making an army to fight the evil White Witch.
I'm reading abook called Ice Drift it is about a boy and his brother who get stuck on an ice flow while hunting seals and are stuck on it . So far they've had to build lots of different things to stay alive like an igloo.By the way the boys are inuit or eskimos and their names are Alika and Sulu. -samantha runyon

im reading a book called new friend blues.its about these girls have a new family around their coldasace, and their wonndering if theres a girl in that family. there is and the girl is sssssssssuuuuuuupppppppppppeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr FUNNY!!! its a great book so far!

The book I finished reading today was The School Story by Andrew Clements. This is a great book to read. There is a girl named Natalie and her best friend is Zoe. Natalie's mom works at a publishing company. Zoe had an idea for Natalie. The idea was that she should write a book. Natalie didn't like that idea. Read on to find out if Natalie writes a book or not.

I read the Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan. This book is fantasy. It is a really cool book because there is a kid named Percy Jackson who is the son of the sea god. He has to save his friend, who is a Centaur, and get the Golden Fleece, so he can save his camp. The book had a lot of action going on, but it didn't really confuse me. In fact, it was never boring -- there was something going on the whole time. I can't wait until I read the rest of the series. By Zoe Pfahler
I am reading Chicken Soup for the Kid's Soul. It is a wonderful book to read. It gives kids a chance to express their feelings and for other kids to understand that a lot of us go through the same challenges in life. One thing I've learned is that life is better than you think and you need to make the most out of it!

Hi! I am reading a book called The Phantom Tollbooth, by Norton Juster. It is about a boy named Milo was given a tollbooth, and traveled to far away lands. Right now in the story, he had found an island and is trying to find two princesses. i think he will find them soon!

Reading Response: I just finished a book called Marina and it was very good. I am telling about the author’s message and the genre of the book. The author’s message is to not judge people before you are sure of something, because the three kids didn’t believe the youngest girl about the magic land.
The genre of the book is fantasy because it has real people but it also has animals the do fake things like talk, stand, and other things that don’t exist. That is what my book is about.
Teacher Choice: The characters actions affected the story because the kids did something to help make an army to help fight the witch and save Marina. Because of their help they became kings and queens. The way the actions affected the characters is one of the kids made another mad so he turned to the bad side and he told the witch about the other kids and she started the war.

Reading Response: I finished a book called Avalon:Circles in the Stream by Rachel Roberts. It is about a girl named Emily whose mother is a vet. Emily doesn't believe in magic. She wanders onto a wild life perserve. She meets a dark haired girl named Adriane,and a field full of hurt magical animals. With a magic stone Emily found she healed all the animals. Emily then became a believer of magic and in herself.
Rachel Roberts story shows that friendship equals love which is the evil sorceress' weakness. Love destroys evil.
Teacher's Choice: Emily is the main character who visits the magical glade and sees a talking ferret named Ozzie. Emily doesn't believe in magic because she always needs to know the scientific reason why something exists. Magic doesn't have a scientific reason.
If the story were told by Kara, the mayor's daughter, the story would not be magical or have friendship. Kara and her friends think that imaginary ideas are beneath them. They make fun of Emily and Adriane for believing in a magical world. Kara and her friends make fun of Adriane because she is different from them. Adriane is happy with who she is. They make fun of Emily because she is a new girl and is clumsy. Even if someone is different from you, get to know them and respect them, you may find your best friend.
I am on the 5th book in the series. I can't wait to read the next one!!!-- Ashlynn

Hi,Tyler S.! I think Milo will find more cities and traitorous mountains on his way to find the castle with the two princesses.
Thanks for reminding me about the princesses, Ashlyn! The two princesses are named Rhyme and Reason,and they helped everyone solve problems. When two princes were fighting, the princesses said neither one was better than the other, so the princesses got locked in a castle! I am enjoying this book very well! I would recommend it highly!
Sophie, is your book a happy or sad or scary book? Mine is an adventurous and funny tale.
You guys are doing awesome talking about books. Remember you want to really ask deep questions that make the reader guess. If you recommned a book be very specific about the genre and the sections in the book that make you want to really grab on to the story.

I just finish a book call Goosebumps Barking Ghost its was about two kids named Margaret and Cooper. Then Cooper turn scared that two dogs chase him and he heres them and no one else does. Why dont anyone hear the barking and believe that there are dogs?
This all happen in Cooper's new home he think is haunted. His new house is in the middle of the forest in Maine and Margaret tries to help Cooper because when they first moved she tricked him and she's trying to get even with Cooper's brother Mickey. The thing is that the dogs were actually humans cursed to a dog so they brought Cooper and Margaret to a shack called the changing room and changed places from a human to a dog. So they're parents can't understand them. So that was they're huge problem.

I'm reading a book called Amber Brown Wants Extra Credit by:Paula Danziger. The author really evokes how the main character Amber does not like that he parents are divorced. They're going out with diffrent people and she wants her parents to get back together.She hanndeles it by saying things that aren't tue. For example she says mom when her mom was kissing her boy friend,T hope the fungus in your mouth is getting better. Amber also says to Max (her moms boy friend), "in girls its curable but,boys can die from it." It did not work because Max started laughing. He knew it was a lie.

I'am reading narnia the Boy and His Horse, by C.S.Lewis. Its about a boy who lives out of narnia who needs to get there with a horse that talks. The horse is from narnia and needs to get back. I just started reading it a few days ago.

I am reading Season of the Sandstorms by Mary Pope Osborne. In this book jack and Annie go to Baghdad in the Golden age. They escape from bandits to keep a tresure safe. It is supposed to bring wisdom to the caliph. The caliph is the ruler. I wonder if they will succeed.

Well, i am reading this book called "Nancy drew Pit of the vipers." Is fantistic book which would intreast anybody. The Lesson learned is that if u want something you should do anything bad to inocent people, just ask.

Hey Mrs. Ligon, I had a voice over audition today for a movie called "Santa Buddies". It is about talking dogs like "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" if you have seen the commercial. Anyway, I was wondering if my audition script would count as part as my reading log for the day? I was practicing my script for a minimum of one hour and a half, so should that count?
im reading twilight. its a little bit complicated but its really good its about a girl who moved to forks and met this guy whos a vampire,and his name is edward. the girl,bella, is in love with edward and hes in love with her too. its getting really exiting and it has like five climaxes -zoe.p
